A 390m² space in Cape Town, becoming a home for recovery
In mid-2024, we were given this building in Cape Town. It's our vision to use this building to accommodate individuals coming out of rehabilitation, where they can rebuild and then reintegrate back into society.
The reality is 97% of individuals who go through rehabilitation in South Africa relapse within 12 months — largely because, post-rehabilitation, people often go back to the streets. This building fills that gap: safe accommodation, a supportive community, and coaching into work and independent living.
A large part of the building will become accommodation — hosting up to 10 individuals at any one time, and facilitating 200 people over the next 10 years from the streets to sustainable homes, from addiction to freedom. It will also house live-in mentors.
Want to help renovate or maintain the building? We'd love to hear from you.
